There's just one problem: It's trapped in information overload and in people's heads — people who are at the top of their fields, who rarely have time to share what they've learned (even when they want to).
This section of Studio 7 is about sharing this knowledge in the form of podcasts, articles and videos so that we can inspire you to accelerate and take action.PODCASTS
Our live sessions are hosted in unique and unusual venues throughout the city and surrounds. We fuse new , up-coming artists with inspiring keynote speakers from various fields to deliver an experience that speaks to both mind and soul.
This underground series founded by Patrick Lowry Craig, who’s aim was to re-imagine the music and keynote format, and take it into the unexpected in order to leave our audiences feeling super inspired. Over 130 sessions later, we've played host so some incredible minds and talent, we hope you will join us at the next.LIVE SESSIONS
"Thank you ever so much for looking after us in South Africa, I will never forget it as long as I shall live. What an amazing experience for us all."
"I think its a fantastic concept. It's nice that it's kept small and intimate, it's almost like playing to family, not necessarily by blood but by likemindedness. People who come here have a big passion for music and the fact that they can communicate with you during your performance, gives it a very organic and connected feeling."
KAHN MORBEE (PARLOTONES)
"Absolutely Amazing! Felt a bit weird since the venue is a Church but I'm sure God was loving us despite everything."
CARYN DE VILLIERS
" So well done! No skimping on quality here – impeccably produced! From the debonaire meet ‘n greet, to the sound! Magnificent, orchestral, goosebump-inducing. Puts most other concerts to shame. Well, bloody, done! There’s never been an alternative, until now! Grant me access. I want to be a member of this club. I am worthy!"
"I love different and you do it so well. Awesome venue, great talents, magical evening."
"Sound quality, the intimacy of the venue, getting an experience so much better than any of the other concerts I have seen."
" The whole Studio 7 initiative came at exactly the right time for me as I was getting completely fed up with larger gigs with crap sound and limited crowd interaction. Being able to hear the click of a pedal change, or offering a plectrum because they haven’t got a spare adds so much. The interaction between the artists and the audience is great. The quality of artists has been very high and very enjoyable. Long may it continue."
" I get the feeling that once the word really gets out there it could become one of those spots that carries a certain badge-of-honor and artists are keen to play to gauge the reaction/slowly test the waters to new songs they’ve written. The people and the organization: Slick and friendly. Have met a ton of people I probably wouldn’t have been fortunate to have conversations with, and it's been awesome. Thank you! "
" The quality of the sound, the lighting, the smokey atmosphere was excellent. Majozi's performance was top top class. I love his music and I think that he is a beautiful person - it truly shines through. I had this overwhelming urge to get up and dance right from the very beginning of his set. The quartet are maestros! They bring a delicious richness to all of the songs they accompanied. Brilliant!"
" Once the room has filled up with eager music fans and the band started their set, it realised quickly this is the best way to watch a band. The band can’t hide behind the smoke machine or their stage antics or the noise of the crowd. An acoustic performance to a small audience tests true musicality in its purest form. And likewise, as an audience member, you too have to focus all your attention on the music. "
